Passelier
Questions & Answers

Everything you might reasonably wonder.

A clear, honest account of what Passelier handles, what remains yours, and how arrival is kept calm from the first invitation to the final report.

What does Passelier actually handle?

Passelier coordinates the invited-guest journey — personalized invitations, RSVP readiness, seating coordination, secure guest passes, event-day verification and live arrival oversight — and, afterwards, a clear attendance record. It does not plan the wider event; it turns the guest journey into a coordinated, verifiable operation.

What remains the responsibility of the event planner?

The planner and host own the creative vision, décor, catering, entertainment, production and the client relationship, and supply the authorized guest list. Passelier operationalizes invitations, guest readiness, access and live oversight behind that work — it never replaces the planner.

Can a guest forward or screenshot their pass?

Yes — a pass can be screenshotted or forwarded, as any digital image can. The protection is that each pass is unique and can be admitted only once. Once the original has been accepted, later attempts — whether copied or forwarded — are identified as duplicates and refused. A copied pass does not create a second admission.

What happens if a guest has already been admitted?

The scanner shows a clear “already checked in” result. The first valid scan is welcomed; any later scan of the same pass is flagged distinctly, so the door team can respond calmly rather than guess.

What happens if a guest cannot find their pass?

The door team can look the guest up by name and, where the host has authorized it, confirm or re-issue their pass on the spot — so a mislaid email never becomes a scene at the entrance.

Does Passelier provide on-site staff?

No. The planner’s or host’s own team runs the physical door and greets guests. Passelier provides the verification tools and remote oversight that make that team’s job simple and unhurried.

Who scans guests at the door?

The event’s own door team, using Passelier’s browser-based scanner protected by a six-digit door PIN. There is no app to install, and multiple scanners can run at once for a busy entrance.

Can a planner manage several events?

Yes. Planners can coordinate multiple events through one structured workspace, with an action board across events and scoped access for collaborators, so more celebrations can be handled without building a large permanent team.

Can hosts watch arrivals remotely?

Yes. Hosts and planners can follow arrivals, room readiness and important exceptions live, from any screen in the world, without standing at the door.

What happens when an unexpected guest arrives?

Unknown and wrong-event scans are shown distinctly from valid ones, and these moments are recorded. Where the host permits, authorized day-of passes can be issued at the door — so exceptions are handled discreetly instead of improvised.

How does Passelier protect guest-list information?

Guest lists are confidential and event-specific. Guest information is used only to deliver your event, access is scoped to authorized host, planner and collaborator roles, and guest data is never sold and never used for Passelier’s own marketing.

Where does Passelier operate?

Because the service is delivered remotely, Passelier supports important celebrations across Nigeria, Canada and the wider diaspora — including more than one event on the same evening, with the standard of arrival held equal at each.

Does the service require internet connectivity?

Passelier’s standard verification is performed live so that every entrance shares the same admission record. Before each event, the door team agrees on connectivity and fallback procedures appropriate to the venue, so arrival can continue smoothly.

How early should a host or planner engage Passelier?

The earlier the better — ideally while the guest list and invitations are being prepared — so invitations, RSVP and seating are coordinated from one trusted record. Passelier can also join closer to the date when needed.

Does Passelier replace an event planner?

No. Passelier works quietly behind the planner, keeps the planner’s brand visible, never solicits the planner’s client, and is designed to strengthen the planner’s service rather than replace it.

Can Passelier support VIP and assigned-seating events?

Yes. Passelier supports general and VIP tables, guest-to-table assignment, seating-capacity awareness and VIP and high-table readiness at the door — so the right guests reach the right places.

What does the host receive after the event?

An operational record: final attendance and no-shows, arrival patterns and peak periods, late additions, and table and section performance, available as downloadable reports to the authorized host or planner — a record that can make the next event better.
